The
Inspiration!
The idea for Thoroughbred thrones first emerged when my brother and
his wife, knowing my love of painting, asked me to paint a 'decorative'
loo seat for their new home. I did - they loved it and so Thoroughbred
Thrones was born. 6 years
on and a much perfected product I embrace technology with this
my first website.
The
Process
Each loo
is taken through 12 painstaking stages by a craftsman of 39 years
experience
- a process that takes some 40 hours to produce a finished product,
with
a depth of colour and shine you will find hard to match elsewhere.
Meet
My Staff
There
are two key people who are invaluable: my husband, an Engineer, LPG
gas converter and restorer of classic cars
in his own right, whose business
knowledge has helped hugely (but don't tell
him I said so!), and Ian (the one with the 39
years experience). Both have been involved from
the start, with prototypes, production problems,
solving them, getting the business to where we are today and, most
of all, finding my sense of humour when I loose it!
About
Me
I
studied at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle upon Tyne, and
after 4 years gained a BA Hon. in Art and Design, and followed in
a career in Fashion.
Now living in rural Northumberland I manufacture
and design bespoke loo seats at home in our converted barns surrounded
by doves, hens, dogs ferrets and a pony too. |
